My Dad was born in 1941 in London to Catherine and James Harper and was one of twelve brothers and sisters. He was a painter and decorator by trade (decorating his own house was another story though!!!!!). Dad loved wildlife, music (especially country and western)and gardening.
when diagnosed as being termernally ill with lung cancer in 1987 he moved to devon with his family to spend the rest of his time. Dad was a fighter, he was given just six months to live as the cancer was unoperatable but he carried on for another three years.
my Dad had a great sense of humour, he was a Dad in a million, un fortunately he didnt get to meet his grandson but he would of been a fantastic Grandad.
Dad passed away on 24th august 1990 at Home.

Miss you so much, my Daddy Ron

I miss you so much. Its a really sad time at the moment & I know that if you were here you'd only have to look at me to know what was wrong. You knew me inside out. I miss Mum & Barbara so much, I feel like everyone that loved me unconditionally has gone to Heaven, both my Mums & my Dadare there, I wish I could turn back the hands of time & have you all here again, I'd be spoilt for cuddles!! I look forward to getting them when I eventually reach Heaven, if God lets me in, eh?!! Love you & all the others, always xxxxxxxx
